Almost every driver on the road would agree that reverse parallel parking is the most difficult manoeuvre to learn, especially if you don't have a reversing camera to assist you. This is especially the case if you have to reverse parallel park on a steep incline. Whilst many instructors over the years have developed techniques to assist learners to acquire the skills, it's always timely to refresh your memory so that, instead of having to avoid reverse parking, you can actually look forward to it and proudly display your driving skills to anyone watching!
Many drivers take the view that once they have passed their driving test they will never have to worry about reverse parking ever again. Whilst it might be possible to go through life without ever having to perform the move again, it is not a skill which should be ignored and, once you have learned a few tips, it is quite easy to execute each and every time. Remember, it's much easier to reverse between 2 vehicles than to drive-in nose first.

Let's look at the tips you need to follow to reverse park like a champion driver.
In the first place, make sure that the space available to you as it leased two car lengths long to make your manoeuvre safe and smooth. Until you are quite adept at judging the necessary space, this is a good rule of thumb to observe every time you want to reverse park. A good point to remember is something that your instructor probably told you when you were learning to drive. That is to take an all-round observation of the street to ensure that it is clear of traffic and any obstructions, don't get too close to the parked car, and never mount the curb! Additionally, also make sure that you stop reasonably close to it when you are finished. Nearly every driving instructor has issue these tips to every student. Stop beside the vehicle you plan to park behind with a minimum distance of 1 m between the vehicles. Line up the side view mirrors of both vehicles as your starting point. Check your mirrors and blind spots and make sure you look over both your left and right shoulders when doing this so you are completely aware of all traffic and any obstructions. Once you are certain that it is safe, engage reverse gear and steer your vehicle towards the rear corner of the parking space by turning the steering wheel to the left. When you are about halfway into the space and when the front of your vehicle is aligned with the rear of the parked vehicle, steer the car to the right in order to straighten out and continue slowly to bring your car in line with the curb ensuring that the front of your car does not hit the parked car in front. When you have come to a stop you should select first gear and move slowly forward to straighten your wheels.
Practice makes perfect when it comes to reverse parking, even if you have a reversing camera installed. But when you have performed the manoeuvre a few dozen times it will become second nature to you.
