Computers nowadays are relatively common in our houses, so why not seize the advantage of PC configuration and IP dome cameras for installing surveillance in your house? For instance, you can install a small IP camera to monitor your house cleaner or your babysitter. You can also install an IP dome camera to watch over your driveway or even your garden, so you can observe your kids play outside from your house office or anywhere in the house using an internet connection. IP cameras are reasonably priced these days and can offer peace of mind while one is in the house.
How to mount an IP dome camera for surveillance
Corner Speaker Mounts
Find the exact location where you want to secure the IP dome camera; it can be on the wall or even hanging from the ceiling. You can also mount the IP camera in a not easily seen spot for instance a corner table. The real location is restricted only by your imagination.
Attach the USB or Ethernet cable on the back of your camera. The nature of cable depends on what your particular IP camera uses.
Direct the cable from the dome camera to your PC and then connect it. To keep away from injury, make sure the cable go through a molding or baseboard, and make certain that any cords that run beside the floor are shielding by pinning them down or by providing covering, like a rug over them.
Plug in the electrical adapter into the IP dome camera and then hook up the adapter to an electrical power outlet. Depending on the circumstances, perhaps you may have to direct an extension cord to make it to the outlet. Follow the similar precautions you pursued when routing the Ethernet cable or USB.
Install the PC software that will manage as well as record the feed from the IP dome camera. In most instances, basically insert the disc that usually comes with the IP camera and follow the on-screen instructions. Although in most instances, you must download the configuration drivers from the webpage of the manufacturer.
Have the camera switched on and PC software as you position the camera where you want it to provide you with the necessary view. Once you obtain the perfect view, lock the camera to the mounting wall or ceiling. You can employ double-sided tape or rather permanently mount the IP dome camera with screws.
